Seas At Risk, together with its North Sea Alliance partners Deutsche Umwelthilfe, the North Sea Foundation, WWF Belgium, WWF Denmark, WWF EU and WWF Germany, has published a joint position paper on ecosystem-based multi-use at sea. The paper sets out recommendations to ensure that multi-use, particularly in offshore wind farms, reduces cumulative pressures on marine ecosystems, respects ecological limits and supports nature recovery. It calls for nature to be placed at the centre of multi-use policies and marine spatial planning, with robust environmental safeguards, monitoring and precaution guiding decisions on where and how multi-use activities can take place.
