Led by T&E, Seas At Risk, and 10 other NGOs signed a letter urging the French government to ban all scrubber waste in French territorial waters This ban should be effective as of 2027 and include both french and foreign vessels.
In accordance with agreements made at the United Nation’s Ocean Conference and recommendations from OSPAR 2025/1, our letter asks France to lead the way, and to show that climate ambition, coastal community protection and marine ecosystem preservation remain high on the agenda.
