Fish were once large and plentiful in the ocean. Not anymore.
Our joint ‘Missing Fish’ event on 21 November in Brussels shone a light on depleted species in the Northeast Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. To mark World Fisheries Day 2022, we asked European fisheries ministers and the European Commissioner responsible for the ocean, Virginijus Sinkevičius, to end overfishing and recover fish populations.
