After travelling across Europe, the Voice of the Fish wood sculpture returned to the sea in Sagres, Portugal. On each stop of its journey, it highlighted the impacts of destructive fisheries on the ocean and marine ecosystems: overfishing, bycatch, ocean pollution… The epic journey has come to an end, but the fight to protect the ocean wages on. Seas At Risk’s #VoiceOfTheFish campaign is an art action organised in collaboration with BUND, Sciaena, Ecologistas en Acción, and France Nature Environnement to raise awareness of the threats destructive fisheries have on marine life, ecosystems, and the ocean.
