Roundnose grenadiers are slow-growing and long-living deep-sea fish. Declared critically endangered in 2015, the species’ population has decreased by 90 per cent in recent years due to prolonged overfishing. Its slow growth and late maturity make it particularly vulnerable to overfishing. This is the story of the roundnose grenadier.
