As various groups in the European Parliament mount a populist battle against the much-needed EU Nature Restoration Law, Seas At Risk and five other NGOs pen a letter to the leaders of European Parliament parties, coordinators of the Environment Committee of the European Parliament, the Swedish Presidency of the Council and the European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen asking for their support for this legacy legislation ahead of the key dates ahead in June, where the Parliament and Council will decide on their positions on this flagship piece of legislation.

The nature and climate crises are only worsening: we need to mobilise parties across the political spectrum to unite to combat nature loss and safeguard the planet for generations to come.
