Seas At Risk has responded to the European Commission’s call for evidence for the EU Maritime Industrial Strategy, with the hopes of aligning and bringing true decarbonisation, resilience and ecosystem regeneration to shipping.

To achieve this, the strategy must:

• support systemic change, not just efficiency gains
• prioritise technologies, infrastructure and business models that reduce the demand for fossil fuels
• make wind propulsion for ships a core component of the strategy, bringing a clean, scalable and true energy solution to maritime transport.
